Duende in Amersham

Duende has been invited to do a pop up residency for two weeks in late September, early October in Amersham.

It’s to mark the refurb and relaunch of Bienvenue, the French restaurant owned by chef Ramon on Sycamore Road. You could say it’s a kind of restaurant warming.

It will be the Duende style food you expect, but a la carte, and Ramon will be supplying the wines and other drinks.

The dates are Thursday 29 and Friday 30 September and Saturday 1 October. Then Thursday 6, Friday 7 and Saturday 8 October.

(This event is also available to book through Eventbrite for those who’d prefer to pay upfront by card – Eventbrite does add on a small fee, so it’s cheaper to book direct with us, but we’re just offering the option for the tech savvy.)

Upcoming dates at Chesham

We’ve had some dates released  for The Temperance Hall,  a little shorter notice than usual – it’s only 2 and half weeks away. It’s a new spring menu at £35 per person, bring your own wine, craft beers etc. Dates are Friday 29 & Saturday 30 April.

Duende pops into town

We’ve been planning a little venture into the big smoke for a while. OK it’s only a Metropolitan line away. But I can’t get all the pots and pans on the tube. ; )

Just trying now to get the right venue. There’s a separate twitter account for it, as I don’t want to bore people who are not interested in eating in town with it. If you’re interested, there’ll be updates on @duendechef on twitter.

Festive Fish night at The Temperance Hall: December 23rd

We’ve just netted an unexpected date in The Temperance Hall. So I’m very pleased to be back at the Chesham home of pop up again. 

I imagine you’ll have enough turkey, goose or meat over Christmas, so I wanted to do something different. And I’ve found an excellent fish supplier, who brings in line caught fish, from Devon and Cornwall, who’ll deliver direct to me overnight.

The evening will be a 3 course menu, with 3 options for each course, and an amuse bouche. £35 per person. Let me know if you need a veggie option. The fish dishes will be selected according to what the boats have landed the day before.

As it’s Bring Your Own with no corkage, if you’re planning to get busy with the fizzy it’s great for a pre Christmas get together.
